“The graveyard is the richest pace on earth, because it is here that you find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered…” Les Brown
Imagine this, I am sitting outside the library on this gorgeous Monday morning. I am listening to the water from the fountain dance as it hits the ground over and over again. I am basking in the glow of the sun. I am watching the leaves on the trees and the plants dance as the wind blows ever so gently. I am listening to Alicia Keys—Wake Up. I am centered and at peace. I am in my element, currently working on ideas for my next blog. I just finished my application for my passport because I am about to start travelling the world! Picture perfect right. But wait! Someone is shooting. A bullet that has no one’s name and anyone’s name on it comes straight toward me, strikes me in my heart. I am dead on impact. All my hopes, dreams, and aspirations are now gone.
Ok, so maybe I didn’t have to be so dramatic, but you get the picture, right? We are not promised next moments. All we have is RIGHT NOW. Whether it is by a stray bullet, a heart attack, car accident, what have you, death is certain, and it is inevitable. We want to believe that we are immortals and will live long, full, healthy and happy lives, but we don’t know when death will come knocking. When our time is up, it is up! There are no do overs.
What point am I trying to make here? LIVE FOR TODAY!! Stop putting off for tomorrow the things that you want to do, see, accomplish, etc. Go for it! Just do it! Live your best life now. I know for me, there is so much that I have yet to do and I have made every excuse in the book as to why I can’t do it or why I haven’t done it yet. That stops today! I don’t want to just exist any longer. I want to live. I want to live abundantly. I want to live free and without any inhibitions.
Begin by creating a vision board. Detail what you want your life to look like. Figure out your next steps. What is it going to require from you to get where you want to be? Then work like hell to make your dreams a reality. When opportunities present themselves, don’t second guess yourself! Live in the now!!
Where do you want to go? Who do you want to be? What is that one thing that you keep saying you’ll get around to, but never get around to it? Are you living or are you just existing?
Love stories are waiting to be played out in real life, but we are too scared to take a chance on ourselves and to take a chance on love. Stop waiting for perfect moments. Stop waiting for perfect people. Create your happily ever after. Be bold. Be fearless. Be courageous. DARE TO LIVE NOW. DARE TO LOVE NOW.
Lastly, death is certain & inevitable. While we are living our best lives now, let us also be wise and mindful of those that we are to leave behind when it is our time. Invest in life insurance. Don’t become just another GoFundMe in your death. Life insurance is relatively inexpensive, and it will greatly help your family and loved ones. When it is our time to go, the only thing we should want our loved ones to have to deal with is learning how to live without us and coping with the pain of our passing. Having the unnecessary burden of trying to figure out how they will raise the money to bury us should not be something that we weigh our loved ones down with.

Moments. They are all that we have. What are you doing with your moments? Make them great. Make them lasting. Make them promising and worthwhile. We take so much for granted. Let us be mindful to appreciate all things big and small right now. Live without regret, that you may die with none.
With Love & Respect,
